National Handloom Day

My Paithani

My Paithani is a cherished dream, lovingly folded away in my wardrobe,
Waiting quietly for the day I would embrace this beautiful new chapter.
Its peacocks are more than woven motifs; they carry the laughter of home,
While every golden thread whispers stories once shared by my mother-in-law.

As it gently drapes over my shoulders, it wraps my heart in a deep sense of belonging.
Its graceful pallu embraces me with the warmth of the weaver’s tireless craftsmanship.
It is not merely silk adorned with zari, but a legacy I am honoured to preserve,
Every thread woven with patience, affection, and the devotion of gifted hands.

I do not simply wear this Paithani;
I wear my heritage and let it bloom with every graceful step I take.
My Paithani is not just a saree; it is my prized possession “a timeless treasure of love, legacy, and belonging.”
